Its looks a nice set, I don't own a Dvd-Br anymore.. when I get the chance some-times.. aired tv. I do watch Columbo, one of the best episodes was Johnny Cash, where he deliberately drugs his wife, ditto crashes the plane, it was a legal proceedings matter his wife wanted to screw him, divorce, + his career as a singer was getting shady, shaky. so he dumped her.

I've watched COLUMBO although not a fan - all the episodes are the same - but Cash singing "I saw the light" (added over the video at the end) was probably the only scene that had a memorable impact for me. Creepy, tragic, ironic.

Another good episode was Nimoy, a Dr. Surgeon, at the start of the episode he hatchets a pretty nurse in the lobby car-park, then disguising her death. The homicide was to do with fabricated medical details that didn't add-up. Nimoy then waits for his next victim at the motel, where he drugs him to simulate an overdose. Ive watched maybe 20 episodes that had the best celebrity or Star-actor castin.

Great price I pulled the trigger on this a while back when it was on sale, but this is still the best price yet.

That's a great price! I love Columbo and have seen them all loads of times. Nimoy is great in his episode, as is Donald Pleasance. I really like Jack Cassidy in his two episodes. The Speilberg directed episode my favourite. A young Jamie Lee Curtis also confiscates his donut in ine episode. Wish I hadn't bought them all for probably a fortune years ago.

Hi, The Wanderer! Nice to meet you. Jack Cassidy appeared in three episodes. Please have a look at the Columbo thread in which we discuss "Columbo's Finest: Cassidy, Culp, and McGoohan":

You shot Columbo?!

I bought the complete KUNG FU series on dvd but couldnt get thru the first season. Probably the same would happen with COLUMBO. Seems like buying them would convince me to watch them, even though I wasn't a faithful fan of either series in the day.

I saw that one but didn't pull the trigger (to continue the ongoing metaphor). Please share a review of it here when you get a chance to read it.

It's forward is by my COLUMBO colleague Mark Davidziak.
That was enough to get me.to buy it.
Author is a lawyer and tends to judge eps too technically.
But he did pick BY DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT as number one - which is my choice.

The japanese Blu-ray set is currently 62 % off again on amazon japan. I had this on my radar since 2011 and got it finally earlier this year when it was 65 % off.. Yes its still around 250 $ but if you are a fan of the show its money well spent. Picture quality is excellent and some episodes can be watched with the M+E (Music and Effects) track only. Once you have figured out how to navigate the japanese menu (which is easy) you can watch them in english w/o subtitles. They also play on US Blu-ray players. As of today the japanese set is still the only way to own the complete series in HD on blu-ray.
