OK. So I saw this the other day and now have a chance to sort out a few thoughts about it.

Before I launch into anything, I will say upfront that I am an Andrew Garfield/ASM fan and was disappointed that that version didn't get to continue its story.

So I walked into the reboot with some reservations although open to a new interpretation on the ol' wall crawler.....particularly seeing it had been garnering overall positive reviews.

I walked out...disappointed.

It felt like a few good moments wrapped around an ordinary (at best) film.

I hate the Iron Man Spidey suit with a passion. Spiderman isn't about him working out how to use some gimmicked up suit. Sure it allowed for some moments of comedy but it was just not....Spiderman. To me, the whole suit thing was a distraction.

Spidey without Spider Sense?? I know that this has since been addressed but it still sucked.

Is Spidey invulnerable now? He got buried under a building, thrown around the outside of a frickin plane, survived said plane crashing and got his ass handed to him by the Vulture after all that and still did not have a scratch on him. Just dumb. He's Spiderman, not Superman.

Aunt May, however, was frickin hot!!

Happy to debate the merits/failings of this film with anyone who cares to comment.
