Last night's episode of "Twin Peaks: The Return" (episode 11) concluded with a new Badalamenti cue, entitled "Heartbreaking." It's quite nice. Reminded me a tad bit of Barry.

Apparently a piano rearrangement of something from Lost Highway. Was nice, though. Loved so many different sections of this episode, particularly that moment.

I have to say, despite my negative comments about the story line in my original post, that I am thoroughly enjoying this series. I can't wait until the next Sunday night to see the newest episode just to see where the various story lines are headed, and what new, offbeat things Lynch will weave into the fabric. I was really happy to see that Lynch directed all 18 episodes. Some of the episodes of the original series that were directed by others sort of fell flat because they lacked the quirkiness of Lynch's direct input. Well, there's no lack of quirkiness and question marks in any episode of this new series.

There's been some confusion on the web about this because there is a cue from "Lost Highway" called "Haunting & Heartbreaking," but it's a different piece of music (not just in terms of arrangement):

After listening to the above I contend that the cue from "Twin Peaks: The Return" is a new composition (thank you MKRUltra for posting it, by the way - great to hear the full length version).

Yeah, I hadn't heard it when I posted the "Apparently" message, but it definitely shares a few similarities at the start, though!

Allow me to UNthank Pedestrian Wolf on his NON-help regarding the Johnny Jewel situation. Belated, actual thanks to Alex Cope, star of That One Movie.
