Damn! The guy was always a welcome presence on 1970s-80s TV series.

That's sad news, I didn't know Red well enough, only Roadhouse + The A-Team, I need to look into Red's career a talented man.

R.I.P. Red West. Thank you

Red West was part of the Stunt crew on The Wild Wild West. He was a pal of Robert Conrad.
He appeared on Baa, Baa, Black Sheep as sergeant Micklin. He was a pal of rock singer Elvis Presley.

We know that, pally, but apparently no one else here does. wink

I wonder if ol' Red will get "The DiMucci Treatment"?

Even when Conrad guest stared on MISSION (see "The Contender”), he brought back The Wild Wild West stunt crew with him.
I finished watching the first season of Baa, Baa, Black Sheep. I'm tempted to order the second season because of Red West' death, college boy!

West also appeared on Mannix:
"Hardball" (1975) ... Dundee (uncredited)
"The Empty Tower" (1975) ... Johnny Feigen (uncredited)
"Missing: Sun and Sky" (1969) ... Thug (uncredited)
"Merry Go Round for Murder" (1969) ... Arlan
"Edge of the Knife" (1968) ... Thug (uncredited)

While I watched the series during its first run, most of what I remember of Baa Baa Black Sheep was when it used to air in reruns circa 1982-83 ("That's all there was..."). Sgt. Micklin was a big hit among my close pals and I, so we would call each other "college boy" during the frequent "trash talkng" that young lads (used to) do. There's nothng like an eleven-year-old kid channeling a cigar-chomping, officer-loathing, forty-something bad ass like Sgt. Micklin.

Good times, for sure. smile

As a reminder, Robert Conrad fights Red West
in the season 3 “The Night of the Vipers”
from The Wild Wild West.
It starts at 11:58.

I'll bet none of you here remember the Robert Conrad-Red West short-lived show The Duke.

R.I.P.

Just happened upon an episode of Simon & Simon in which Red West appeared. He sports a mustache and plays a menacing thug working for Michael Ansara.

Red West would show up in the damnedest places.
