I've never been in a film or tv show.

Me either, henry.

I was however in the studio audience for a couple of shows when I was a kid; "DINAH SHORE", "JEOPARDY", "DIFFERENT STROKES", "ONE DAY AT A TIME", a reeeaaallllyy stupid sitcom that lasted about five episodes called "HELLO LARRY", and a few others. I also was on the local news a few times briefly when I was older --- once waiting in line for a movie, and once waiting in line for a concert. It was fun. smile

EDIT: I was also in the audience at the Depeche Mode concert that was filmed as a movie, but I never saw the film, so I have no idea if you can see me or not.... embarrassment

zooba, you have a really cool life, what other films have you been in?smile

Thank you for your nice comments and interest Henry. I am very grateful and thankful for all the opportunities and adventures that I have had so far in my life. I will be turning 60 years old in October and if I had to go tomorrow, I can honestly say, I've had a great life with a wonderful family and a lot of cool friends throughout the years. Being a Stage Actor since I was 12, I moved to L.A. in 1984 when I was 27. Did lots of Theatre and lived everywhere from Long Beach, Redondo Beach to Hollywood, North Hollywood and Burbank. I stayed until May of 2003. So almost 20 years of my life was there. I was lucky to have real jobs at both Lorimar and Warner Bros. Studios working in International TV Distribution and lastly for the Warner Bros. Music Warehouse as Security. But before all that I did a ton of Extra Work in Television and Feature Films. I definitely need to write a book about all the adventures and fun I had, meeting and working with everyone from Michael Landon, Edward Zwick, Martin Short, Joe Dante and so many more including Anthony Hopkins, Matthew McConaughey, Morgan Freeman and Steven Spielberg on AMISTAD and then again with Spielberg on CATCH ME IF YOU CAN.

My list goes on and on, but here are some that stand out:

Feature Films

TEEN WOLF
ST. ELMO'S FIRE
PRETTY IN PINK
INNERSPACE
HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS as David Suchet's Stand-in and Insert Double (on Location Seattle and North Bend Washington) + Production Assistant on the days David was off.
VOLCANO
THE WILD WILD WEST
DIE HARD
THE SIEGE (Ed Zwick director)
THE NUTTY PROFESSOR Eddie Murphy
5 Schwarzenegger Movies including
COMMANDO
ERASER
THE RUNNING MAN
END OF DAYS
JINGLE ALL THE WAY!
and countless more feature films.

TV Shows

ELLEN Semi Regular Extra working with director Robby Benson the most
CAGNEY AND LACEY
MOONLIGHTING
CHICAGO HOPE
SCRUBS
THE TRACY ULLMAN SHOW
LOIS AND CLARK
THE WEST WING
N.Y.P.D. BLUE
THE DREW CAREY SHOW Episode directed by Henry Winkler
HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN
CHEERS
STAR TREK VOYAGER The Q Civil War Episode
MURPHY BROWN
THE NANNY Many episodes as Extra and I was also hired as a NANNY Laugher (a group of us extras were hired to attend rehearsals and tapings and provide laughs for Fran when she canceled her Live Audience Tapings after receiving death threats)

and so many more.

Sorry to go on and on.

Wow, Zooba! That's an impressive list! DIE HARD, for instance, has always been a favorite of mine... smile

Favourite Joe Dante film? Anything with Phoebe Cates. Or Zooba.

I adore both Gremlins movies, and it's possible I've seen the first one more than all other Dante movies put together, but I think the one I consider my favorite must surely be the witty, shamefully underappreciated, utterly enchanting Matinee. I'd love to see it get the Criterion treatment one of these days.

Hi Joe! I'm a huge Dante fan, but haven't seen MATINEE yet.

IS IT?! That's fantastic! I trust that means we'll get some nice extras, then? I know there are a couple supplement-laden editions outside North America, while here we have a bare-bones DVD. I really would love to have a great, definitive presentation of this wonderful movie...

Nothing's been announced yet, but Shout is pretty good on giving us some decent extras on the majority of their releases. Plus, Matinee has already been given a special edition release by Arrow in the UK.

It's been given special edition releases in I think four different countries (UK, France, Germany, Japan), and though the labels are different, they appear to share most of the same extras (not sure about Japan), although the German version also seems to have two more than the rest, in the form of Easter eggs: a vintage US Gov't-produced "duck and cover"-type short on what to do if The Bomb is coming for you, and a compilation of a couple dozen different trailers for sci-fi / horror movies of the era. As these seem to be specific to the German release I'm not wildly optimistic about them making it to Shout!'s US disc, but you never know, and I'm hopeful all the rest will (all the extras that are actually Matinee-specific). We'll see!

I see this was just announced a few weeks ago at SDCC. I can easily understand now how this news I've been waiting for might've gotten lost in the general deluge of news and announcements, though I'm still a little embarrassed I only just now found out.

Listening to "Hold It" and "Halfway Home" reminds me of why I love Jerry Goldsmith. Oh what a heart. The latter cue underscores my favorite scene in the flick.
