Ah, I wasn't aware that they clashed. Perhaps that explains why there hasn't been a lot of 'buzz' about the Elfman concerts. Unlike the Horner concert get-together in 2013, which had 25 people attending the dinner! Hopefully, there will be some attendees here. It doesn't have to be as big a group as the Horner one anyway.
I will be attending the Elfman concert on the 29th and I would certainly join the get-together. The one for the Horner concert was certainly a lot of fun.
Are you aware that they will be having a symposium on the 26th with Elfman attending? It will be similor to the one they did with with James Horner.
I am sorry to hear you can't make it to the symposium. Excepting the year Randy Newman was the featured composer they always had one the week of the concert. However the official announcement usually comes at a very late date.
I arrived in Vienna yesterday. They added James Shearman and Lebo M. who will also perform at the concert to the symposium's guest list. That should be interesting.
Looking forward to the concert. Have you already set the the date for the get-together? See you then.
I arrive on Wednesday, and I was told -- long after I had booked the trip -- that the symposium was on Tuesday. Imagine my frustration (too costly to change the trip)!
I'll book a table tomorrow, John. Probably in advance of the Thursday concert. I still haven't received a confirmation of my press accreditation, but last time I checked, they would try to get ut into the Friday gala concert.
To the 6 people who have expressed interest in this -- I've now booked us a table at the Gmoakeller (same place as for the Horner event) on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 at 16.00/4 PM. Please see first post.
