As a result of Amazon's new policy, my understanding is that many of us can no longer sell our used CDs there.

Where is the next best option? ebay? SAE? Here? Does Intrada buy?

Thanks,
Graham

It's best to Just sell them here.. first, cut-out E-Bay fees that hack 15-17%! If you make a list.. I'll be interested so see what scores are for sale.. if you like you can send me an email/list.. Maybe we'll do some private sales, Thanks.

Yep, I was sent the death notice from Amazon today as well. I did sell all but one before this new rule was posted but what do we do? Honestly I never had much luck selling or trading my CDs here on FSM. Seems like some I can't even give away. Anyway, I will have a new list coming soon or I think I am just going to get really picky and not buy as much.

What is Amazon doing?

Like said, you can sell here.
You can also use the section at SoundtrackCollector.com
And the section at MainTitles.net
And The Marketplace at JWFan.com, though you have to join a bunch of un-repentant douchebags. ;-)

You can also start a soundtrack selling group on Facebook wink

Had about a third of what was being sold deactivated.

Of that third, about 99% were Intrada titles.

Is there some significance to this?

They deactivated a Intrada title on mine as well. Might be a Intrada thing?

What exactly did they say was their new policy?

Just chiming in that I'd love to see your list too Graham. You can reach me at my FSM name at gmail.com

If it's mostly Intrada titles it could be studio or licensors taking them down.

What, specifically, is the new policy?

Apparently they want copies of receipts from where you purchased your CDs and contact information from your sources. Something along those lines. The letter reads like they assume you are a business and are always selling "new" CDs. I requested further clarification but they never responded back.

Yes this is what they asked from me also. The problem is that 90% of my purchases from Amazon comes from a private owner. Except when I buy Intrada, I buy it from them through Amazon since I have a Prime Membership and free shipping. Maybe this is why Intrada titles are cutting off from private sellers? But I like selling and buying through Amazon with my soundtracks because I know and trust I am getting the exact product I want from collectors like me. As a matter of fact I lost some good money giving refunds because USPS damaged the discs that someone bought from me.

Maybe I will list some very small batches and see what happens.

I hope it isn't a recipe for disaster.

Stay tuned.

Thanks for the responses,

Graham

Wow. That's quite a load of B.S. there, Amazon.

Thanks, T.J.

Any requested titles from not only Intrada, but any of our beloved labels?

How much would you be willing to pay for the AVERAGE release?

United States only please. Sorry.

Graham,

I'm here in the U.S and I can give you my wish list and maybe we can trade or work out a deal?
You can give your list here or email it to me. And if anyone else wants to work out a deal I am open for offers. I will ship to Canada if the deal is a bang.

Intrada:
Jaws 2
Tombstone
Haunted Mansion
Hunt for Red October

LALALAND:
Cliffhanger
Waterworld

Varese Sarabande:
Star Trek Beyond

This is a start. Let me know if anyone wants to part from any of these.

I certainly never received such a missive from Amazon.
