I just wanted to take a moment to thank all you great soundtrack entrepreneurs for providing me with so many outstanding treasures. I'm driving to LA for Cinecon at the end of the month and have been loading up my thumb drives with albums of fabulous scores that have become part of my library over the past twenty years. Between great OTR and amazing soundtracks this trip is going to be a joy!

OMG, I totally forgot how gorgeous is THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN!

Keep up the great work and thank you in advance for a wonderful ride!

Yes, thanks to all of those great labels! And let's not forget Tadlow and Quartet and Music Box Records, doing amazing work overseas as well.

And then there's SAE and Counterpoint; though their releases are infrequent (but so are MMM's) they are always of the very highest quality.

Yes, have a nice trip Ray. I am a transplanted New Yorker who for the last 40 years has learned that the West is best. Not LA however. Have crisscrossed the country many times by auto; in fact I have driven all 50 states. Rented a car in Hawaii.smile Once you cross the Mississippi, playing some great Western scores is a delight. Don't forget DUEL IN THE SUN, this year's best release so far. By the way, I hope when you get back that you can give us more information about something "big" concerning Max Steiner. I would love to be overjoyed by your announcement.

That's great for your upcoming trip, Ray. Still hoping that somewhere down the line you or Intrada can work out the legal details that will bring THE HANGING TREE to CD.

I was sort of thinking Ray was referring to DUEL IN THE SUN. That's okay, ANY future Max CD's are always welcomed.

Ray, while you're in California perhaps you can visit Warner Bros.? Just a thought.

Ray: Can you name your favorite releases by each one of these labels ?

Eh........no! Too, too many and I'm too young to get Arthur-itis!! But I will say that most are golden-silver age scores.

I thought Max Steiner retired years ago? smile

Ray, why don't you have your picture taken in front of Warner Bros. and post it here. Maybe it will bring us some good luck for future Max Steiner CDs.
