Not bad. No great, mind you, but did he have o ape, ape, ape the Swing, Swing, Swing cue?

Which itself is more than a little inspired by 'Sing, Sing, Sing.' Though Tyler's effort sounds more like Randy Newman's big band stuff in 'The Natural' to me.

This is literally the most uninteresting thing happening in the film score world at the moment... lol

And yet, you acknowledged the score by making this post, thus robbing it of its 'uninteresting' status. Real catch-22.

Just checked the samples at iTunes and loved it!

This is the kind of music I should definitely check. Surprised it has Tyler's name on it - not the genre one tends to associate with the composer. The musical approach is not I expected for the subject matter either.

It's a good score, some traditional dramatic score cues, and the great swing styled stuff.

If you like this, check out his Plan B score, I think iTunes still has it to offer. That one is strictly big band swing and is one of my favorites from Tyler, tremendously fun.

I have listened to this twice now streaming on Amazon. There is some really great stuff here, some great lush orchestra tracks, a couple fun swing tunes...all in all, I am really enjoying it.
