I missed this one back in 1989, so I'm happy with this rerelease. I always thought it was amazing that a mostly atmospheric score like this without a hummable melody would get a soundtrack at all.

This new version of it brings out things I didn't really notice or care about in the original. The vinyl reissue makes sense only because of the renewed interest in Carpenter's sound. Wish they'd bring out the Halloween scores in non-limited editions that aren't priced at a premium.

The score was written and performed by JOHN CARPENTER AND ALAN HOWARTH.

He is the official co-writer of the score.

I just thought I'd mention it.

I haven't looked at the notes for the Anthology LP, but is Howarth credited with anything on there? I don't remember seeing his name mentioned.
