Just saw a Creatures Features screening event posted on Facebook. Cool!

Updated:

In 1989, Stuart Gordon unleashed one of the most ambitious productions of Charles Band’s Empire Pictures with Robot Jox.
Drawing from the Japan’s battling robot craze that had turned the Transformers into a cartoon phenomena, Gordon’s live-action film was towering in every sense, from David Allen’s creative combination of puppetry and stop-motion animation to the epically symphonic soundtrack by composer Frederic Talgorn.

Now to celebrate Intrada Records definitive CD of Talgorn’s excitingly lush score, Creature Features brings together Gordon, Talgorn and visual FX artist Paul Gentry to talk about this hugely entertaining movie in a panel moderated by Daniel Schweiger.

Join the Q&A and CD signing on Sunday, September 24th at 2PM. CD Purchase is necessary to attend, with personalized copies also available through the store’s website.

Creature Features and Intrada Records look forward to giving a salute of “Crash and burn!” to this beloved cult film and score that made us believe in rock ‘em sock ‘em robots

Looking forward to this.

I also highly recommend Talgorn's DELTA FORCE 2, which also received the royal treatment by Intrada: http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.10414/.f

I like the Talgorn scores I have a lot, and I'm looking forward to this release.

I'm also a big fan of Talgorn's score for Heavy Metal 2000 (like, a big fan — I love that score), but beyond these, Delta Force 2, The Temp and Fortress, I'm not too familiar with his other work. Honestly, other than Fortress and a few minutes of Delta Force 2, I haven't seen any of these pictures either, so any Talgorn suggestions from those more familiar with his oeuvre — particularly his non-American work — would be welcome.

I'm guessing you're in America, so of the ones listed here..

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_2?rh=n%3A5174%2Cp_32%3AFrederic+Talgorn&page=2&ie=UTF8&qid=1505212245

I would say MOLIERE and ASTERIX have some cool tracks (and you can't beat those New/Used prices) and Le Brasier (although a bit pricier) is stunning, especially if you love late 70's John Williams.

Other recommended titles (check ebay) are..
LITTLE PRINCE
LES AGUILLES ROUGES
LES ENFANTS DE TIMPELBACH
MONTY SPINNERTAZ

Happy Hunting smile

9/17/2017

Another Tuesday, another new CD from Intrada.

Sci-fi this time, Robot Jox, with vivid, flamboyant orchestral music from Frederic Talgorn.

Announced earlier in other circles, newly assembled and re-mastered release features handful of brief previously unreleased cues plus appearance of score in film sequence.

Score leans to the rousing side with composer Talgorn favoring large scale music replete with the entire resources of the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra, brass up front and center!

Full contents, artwork and sound samples will be available on our site this coming Monday eve, September 18!
