DEAD ANT---trailer released for the heavy metal comedy horror movie starring Tom Arnold, Sean Astin and Jake Busey.

HALLOWEEN (2018)---Jamie Lee Curtis posted a photo that confirms she is returning as Laurie Strode in the final movie in the franchise, "Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18."
John Carpenter is returning as the executive producer and creative consultant.





TRUE LIES---Fox pilot underway based on the 1994 James Cameron movie that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold. Cameron is the producer. Marc Guggenheim (ARROW) is the writer.





THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER'S WEB---Claire Foy (THE CROWN) is the new Lisbeth Salander in the Sony Pictures sequel.





AVENGERS 4---Brie Larson was confirmed to play Captain Marvel in the sequel and was on the film set in Atlanta.

MAN OF STEEL 2---Matthew Vaughn confirmed he is in talks to direct the sequel, "... I have had chats about Superman, I love Superman. If somebody asks me to do Indiana Jones, most of the superheros or Star Wars the fanboy in me can't help but be excited."

BEVERLY HILLS COP 4---Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum were mentioned as possible candidates to co-star with Eddie Murphy in the sequel with Axel Foley, an established Los Angeles cop, who clashes with a young cop from Detroit.

PAINKILLER JANE---Jessica Chastain will star in the movie based on the graphic novel.

THE TIME KILLER---thriller sci fi movie underway about Nazi experiments that allow Adolf Hitler to travel in time where billions of timelines exists and billions of his daughter have created their own empires. Daniel Logan (STAR WARS: EPISODE II--ATTACK OF THE CLONES), Stephen Manley (STAR TREK II: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK) and William Kircher (THE HOBBIT) star.

DOCTOR WHO---synopsis released for he Christmas Special.

“Two Doctors stranded in a forbidding snowscape, refusing to face regeneration. And a British army captain seemingly destined to die in the First World War but taken from the trenches to play his part in the Doctor’s story. This is the magical last chapter in the Twelfth Doctor’s epic adventure. He must face his past to decide his future. And the Doctor will realize the resilience of humanity, discovering hope in his darkest frozen moment. It’s the end of an era. But the Doctor’s journey is only just beginning.”


ANON---Netflix movie set in a future society where personal memories are recorded and crime is mostly eliminated, a man investigates a series of murders and a woman who has beaten the system. Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried star.

GOTHAM---executive producer John Stephen confirmed Fish Mooney's death means she won't be back for Season 4, “I’m afraid that’s it. Now, that one [death scene] was it. At a certain point, you gotta say ‘Definitely.’ People die at a certain point, and that’s the second or third time they die [in Gotham].”

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY---Jonathan Frakes said there will be episode featuring the mirror universe. Frakes will direct an episode about the Klingons, but he is not directing the mirror universe episode.

SHERLOCK---Benedict Cumberbatch commented on a possible female Sherlock in the future, “Why not? I don’t care. ‘Sherlockina’ is coming to you soon."

Am I the only one who thinks the Mirror universe is played out?

The only Mirror Universe sequel worth taking in is the one DC Comics did. It was set in between STII and III and appeared in Star Trek(vol 1) issues #9-16.

Dead Ant was scored by Edwin Wendler. I know him pretty well. It's the opening movie at this years ScreamFest in Los Angeles and will be showing at the Telluride Horror Show Festival, both festivals are mid October. After that more festivals!

The only Mirror Universe sequel worth taking in is the one DC Comics did. It was set in between STII and III and appeared in Star Trek(vol 1) issues #9-16.

That one was great (and still is, even though it means swallowing the idea that it all happened between those two movies), but there really were some good Mirror Universe stories told in later Star Trek series.
