Hi Everyone,

I'd like to ask for some help. I had an order from SAE in September and the tracking link shows this:

https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input?strOrigTrackNum=UJ014106829US

The 'funny' is, that I live in Hungary, Budapest, that would be the final destination of the pack... Is there anyone who has the same experience? My problems:

- this tracking number is unknown for my national post service, I mean they do not see it absolutely

- there is at SAE Custormer Service a woman calles Katie, she is very kind etc., but not very helpful... In May I had an order that disappeared as this seems and se could not do anything... I've asked her to file a claim az USPS but happened nothing...

I don't know what is this tracking number but when I order from LLL or Intrada they send me a number which can be seen at Hungarian Post's website I can see when it arrives to the country when it arrives at local post office... This SAE? Good for nothing I think...

I would be happy if some of you could help me or write some hopeful thing...

Chris

Well, I live in the United States, so I'm sure it's a very different situation than yours, but I've never had any problem ordering from SAE whatsoever.

I've also found Katie to be delightful and very helpful.

Sometimes I have received items from SAE where the tracking has been minimal.By that I mean a couple of entries on the USPS site ,then nothing and then the parcel arrives. Also I never look on English post web site (I don't think it would/or does show up there ,either) only on USPS site (where the final entry usually says something like 'delivered in uk on ...).If that's any help.

Here's another story. I ordered some in May, and asking for an empty CD case and a replacement booklet into that pack. Ok the pack was sent, I received the tracking number. The pack arrived and only the empty case and the booklet were in it. Writing for weeks for SAE, and they said there is no another tracking number... Well finally I get one, but the pack has never arrived... So I don"t know what to think or say... Thanks guys I'll keep my fingers crossed...

USPS tracking states the package left the airport and was out for delivery on the 18th. According to the USPS Faqs, tracking to an international recipient depends on the destination country and is not always available.
I've ordered from Screen Archives from the time before it was online, when it was only mail order only, and I've never had an issue.

The problem is that International Mail via USPS is no longer traceable unless you use Express Mail which is explicitly Expensive! and extra apart from your regular shipping charges. Previously SAE had the Registered Mail option (now discontinued) which offered tracking number but became useless as USPS did not provide tracking information any longer after it left the US. But SAE did provide insurance claim on it. So now if you chose Regular shipping charges WITH OUT the EXPRESS MAIL which offers both tracking and insurance there is NO way of SAE reimbursing your lost package. Its their policy now.

Paying $45 for Express Mail is very costly and does not justify your wallet if you are going to buy 1 or 2 cd sets. I suggest you order multiple sets 3-or 4 or more and then use Express Mail to ensure delivery and security of your packages.

I'm in a similar boat but I usually route my packages to a proxy address within US (to a relative) which I can easily track. The family friends bring the packages as when they come.

But I really hope SAE can solve this problem for their International Clients.

P.S. I just checked your tracking number and it seems your parcel is about to arrive in Budapest!

Ive sent letters to Budapest before and it took a while to reach and it was able to track it on the local post office. Just wait and see you should have a package soon. wink

It's most likely still on route to you. Although I'm not in Hungary, if I was in your situation I'd just sit back and enjoy some Zwack! wink

and when said package arrives, repeat.

First, I have to say SAE is the best - I order from them at least once a month.
The post office - different story. That is where the problem is happening, even stateside. There is a particular hub here , where my packages keep getting stuck for days on end.
Never happened before, and I've ordered from SAE on average once a month for YEARS.
Once I contact USPS, the packages miraculously move....

Wish I had more help, but the post is where the problem is. Once SAE moves it, it's out of their court.

Ok boys, here another mystery:

https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?tRef=fullpage&tLc=2&text28777=&tLabels=LZ144273310US%2C

Have you ever seen a tracking like this, where no countries? It's getting scary... Its an Intrada order now... Anyway my SAE order still nowhere, I called the local post office and they said, in Hungary tracking numbers started with UJ (as SAE) are not available, so not trackable, they are handled as simple letters... So I won't ever know where it is...

Hi!

I had same problems with numbers, started with "U" this year.
But if I understand, your newer one from Intrada started with "L" - this means that it COULD be trackable - you just need to wait bit more time. For example, in Russia I could track such packages (started with "L"), but they appeared in our local post system in 3-5 days after package leaves US...

It happens in the UK sometimes, its no biggie though the parcels eventually arrive, I've made hundreds of purchases off SAE, I ain't had one problem yet.
