I can't see a thread for this TV series soundtrack mostly by Heinz Kiessling but I love its cheery ironic tone against the background of a "gang" who would screw each other over as soon as look at each other.

Like the UK original broadcast of M.A.S.H. it also benefits from no canned laughter track.

Apparently its all public domain music they got for either free or next to nothing. Or at least it was until they started selling the album.

It's not public domain music - it's from the Extreme Music library. That album has most of the tracks that are used repeatedly.

I also came across 'Witch Hunt' from Director's Cuts, which is used briefly in a few establishing shots.
