Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcruuokFXsE BLADE RUNNER 2049---here are early comments by critics. “Blade Runner 2049 is stunning visually. Some truly inspired moments. Not sure as a story it 100% works? Lower those expectations a tad. Villeneuve has some truly masterful sequences, deserves best director nod consideration. And no joke Harrison Ford is fantastic, best supporting actor nod is not a reach. Deakins, Prod Design and Visual Effects? Major, major player.” – Gregory Ellwood, The Playlist “#BladeRunner2049 was one of the most mind-blowing films I’ve seen. It’s breathtaking and transportive. Denis Villeneuve has a masterpiece.” – Jenna Busch, Coming Soon “BLADE RUNNER 2049 is sci-fi masterpiece; the kind of deep-cut genre film we don’t see anymore. Visually mindblowing, absolutely fantastic… I think this Blade Runner is better than the original, and also proves Denis Villeneuve is the most exciting director working right now.” – Erik Davis, Fandango “.@BladeRunner 2049 is phenomenal. Visually mind-blowing sci-fi w/ noir roots shining through in a tight, twisty mystery. Best of 2017 so far” – Eric Eisenberg, Cinema Blend “Early word on BLADE RUNNER 2049 is very strong. Doubt Denis Villeneuve at your own peril, people.” – Scott Wampler, Birth Movies Death “Good news! BLADE RUNNER 2049 is a terrific continuation and expansion of the orig. Wasn’t hoping for much, ended up LOVING it. (Even Leto!).” – Jordan Hoffman, The Guardian “I’ve seen Blade Runner 2049 and it was great. Visually stunning, emotionally engaging in a way I didn’t expect. And that’s all I can say” – Jim Vejvoda, IGN “I saw #BladeRunner2049 and it is BREATHTAKING. It’s an impressive follow-up, preserving mysteries, adding new ones, expanding the universe.” – William Bibbiani, Crave Online “#BladeRunner2049 is a rare sequel that actually improves on the original. Great Performances & Visually Breathtaking. Villeneuve nails it.” – Scott Menzel, We Live Entertainment “Everyone bow down to Denis Villeneuve. He’s done the impossible and delivered a huge home run with ‘Blade Runner 2049’. Loved it. You do not have to have seen the original ‘Blade Runner’ to watch ‘Blade Runner 2049’. But it will def make the film better if you have.” – Steve Weintraub, Collider Also, director Denis Villeneuve said David Bowie was the original choice to play the villain, but Bowie's death led to Jared Leto getting the role. WONDER WOMAN---James Cameron made more controversial comments about the Gal Gadot movie, "I’ll stand by that [calling Gadot’s Wonder Woman an ‘objectified icon’]. I mean, she was Miss Israel, and she was wearing a kind of bustier costume that was very form-fitting. She’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. To me, that’s not breaking ground. They had Raquel Welch doing stuff like that in the ’60s. It was all in a context of talking about why Sarah Connor — what Linda created in 1991 — was, if not ahead of its time, at least a breakthrough in its time. I don’t think it was really ahead of its time because we’re still not [giving women these types of roles].” He added, "Linda [Hamilton] looked great [in the TERMINATOR films]. She just wasn’t treated as a sex object. There was nothing sexual about her character. It was about angst, it was about will, it was about determination. She was crazy, she was complicated. … She wasn’t there to be liked or ogled, but she was central, and the audience loved her by the end of the film. So as much as I applaud Patty directing the film and Hollywood, uh, ‘letting’ a woman direct a major action franchise, I didn’t think there was anything groundbreaking in WONDER WOMAN.” Cameron also commented on TERMINATOR 6 and the earlier movies in the series, “This is a continuation of the story from TERMINATOR 1 and TERMINATOR 2. And we’re pretending the other films were a bad dream. Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multi-verse. This was really driven more by [director Tim Miller] than anybody, surprisingly, because I came in pretty agnostic about where we took it. The only thing I insisted on was that we somehow revamp it and reinvent it for the 21st century.” He said about dealing with Arnold Schwarzenegger's age in TERMINATOR 6, “You don’t have to get around it. The beauty of it is: He’s a cyborg. And so, the org part is on the outside, meaning organism. And Reese says it in the first film: ‘They sweat. They have bad breath.’ Because they were supposed to be infiltration units, so there’s this idea that flesh sort of sheaths over a metal endo-skeleton. So that would age normally. So, obviously he’s one that’s been in action and operation for a long time. And that’s all I want to say about the actual story part of it.” Also, the budget for Cameron's four AVATAR sequels will exceed $1 billion. ROOSEVELT---Leonardo DiCaprio will star in this Martin Scorsese Theodore Roosevelt biomovie based on the biography THE RISE OF THEODORE ROOSEVELT. GAME OF THRONES---the final six episodes will cost $15 million each. X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX---Olivia Munn said the movie will be, "a two-parter." THE BIG BANG THEORY---Bob Newhart will return as Arthur Jeffries/Professor Proton on the November 2 episode. 8---Gaumont television tv series underway based on Stephen King's N novella.

So, who has more credibility? The guys paid to review or people who love the art form and are - arguably - harder to please? Obviously, everyone will have an opinion so who cares (I never listen to critics anyway), but I'm jazzed about the film and am happy to read even a little posiitive buzz.

Yeah, because Cameron has such a track record for making "shitting" movies. Sir, I said Avatar, not the bulk of his work, which I didn't even bring up. Don't put words into my mouth.

I don't give a shit what Cameron has to say about anything, especially superhero movies, but telling him to shut up anonymously on the obscure message board is so sad. It's just movies, people, and stupid ones, too. They're not important, Cameron is not important... But free speech is important. And Solium..... go wank your pee pee.
