BLACK PANTHER---trailer released for the Marvel superhero movie.

HAN SOLO---Ron Howard posted a photo of writer Jon Kasdan and assistant director Toby Hefferman playing Tag and Bink, two characters from the Star Wars comic book TAG AND BINK ARE DEAD, who will appear in the young Han Solo movie.

THE IRISHMAN---photo released of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro on the film set of the Martin Scorsese movie about mob hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP---photo of Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd on the Atlanta film set.

MARVEL STUDIOS---director David Fincher took a shot at Marvel for helping create a Hollywood that emphasizes superhero movies, “Look, there’s a very large talent pool of people who don’t feel there’s much for them in terms of sustenance working for Marvel. And I think that if we can make a playground for them that is thoughtful, adult, interesting, complex, challenging stories and figure out ways to pull them into it, there’s a chance at something that isn’t lassoed and hogtied by three acts. And there’s something else that doesn’t have to be 22-minute half hour or have a cliffhanger. I think it is an exciting time.”

JUDGE DREDD: MEGA-CITY ONE---Karl Urban spoke about what it would take for him to return as Judge Dredd for the tv series based on the DREDD movie, “Well, Rebellion[Productions], who owns the rights to Judge Dredd, are currently developing a television series called MGE-CITY ONE, and I’ve had many discussions with them about my involvement of which I am interested, and I said to them, ‘Listen, if you write a character that has a function and a purpose and contributes to the overall story, then I might be very interested in reprising that role.’ I certainly wouldn’t want to step into it and just pay lip service to the movie. There has to be some material there that warrants further exploration of that character. So the ball’s in their court.”

IT---Timothy Simons who tested for the role of Pennywise, talked about his scene which was deleted from the movie, "It was [Pennywise] way back at the beginning of Derry convincing the woman to give him her baby to eat. And it was scary. The thing that was scariest about it was that it was very direct. It was, ‘If you don’t do this, these are the things that I’m going to do.’ And they were all terrible."

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD---Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) is reportedly THE WALKING DEAD character who will crossover to FEAR THE WALKING DEAD.

AVATAR---Giovanni Ribisi is returning as Parker Selfridge for the four sequels.

BIRD BOX---Jacki Weaver (SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK) and Sarah Paulson (AMERICAN HORROR STORY) will co-star with Sandra Bullock and Jon Malkovich in the movie based on the sci fi novel about a blindfolded mother and her two children who flee down a river in a row boat during an alien invasion of Earth.

GAMBIT---a rumor says Red Death is the movie's main villain.

TRON---Jared Leto commented on the rumored reboot movie, “It was a huge movie for me as well and I do think there’s so much potential in that world, there’s so much left to be said. I’m absolutely game to try to help in any way that I can bring that to life… It’s something that we’re in discussions about and very much looking forward to bringing to reality. It’s very early days though.”

SUITS---a source said Meghan Markle will not return for Season 8 in order to announce her engagement to Prince Harry.

THE NIGHT SHIFT---NBC cancelled the series.

I actually enjoyed the sequel, but let it go. Learn the lesson of Blade Runner, some films have very small cult followings and will never become profitable franchises.
