La-La Land Records, Warner Bros. and Sony Music proudly present the world premiere official CD release of the original motion picture score to the 1956 classic feature film chiller THE BAD SEED, starring Nancy Kelly, Patty McCormack and Henry Jones, and directed by Mervyn LeRoy. Legendary composer Alex North (A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, THE ROSE TATOO, DRAGONSLAYER) expertly crafts a heady mix of heart-melting lyricism and sharp-edged dissonance, creating a musical masterwork that escalates all the tension and drama within this acclaimed tale of lethal evil lurking within a seemingly perfect child. Produced by Neil S. Bulk and Didier C. Deutsch, and mastered by Mike Piacentini, this special release marks the first time the BAD SEED score has been officially issued on CD. The original, remastered LP program has been augmented with additional tracks. Writer Frank K. DeWald takes you behind the film and its score with his in-depth, exclusive liner notes and Dan Goldwasser’s sharp art design completes this thoughtful release of a classic work from a master composer. I don't remember the music but I remember I was very impressed by the acting in this film which was top notch by the 2 women and the girl!

Not that this is a sales argument - but where are the "missing" fifteen minutes? Can anybody chime in who is more familiar with this title?

I know nothing of the earlier release, but I think the key is what they said in the announcement in the first post: "We also included a handful of bonus tracks of additional score cues that we were able to locate in the WB archives."

It is actually a bit more than 15 minutes as the Soundtrack Library CD posted above via Youtube omitted the famous Main Title which was a bit ridiculous. Also the first track on that boot is not quite complete and in comparison wiith the film about one minute at the beginning is probably missing. On the LLL CD this should now be track 12 "The Locket" (film version).

One of the GREAT scores. I hoped for new cover art. Never liked that art. It dates back to the original RCA lp. But, very glad to see this released.
