STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---photo released of Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo (Laura Dern) rallying members of the Resistance.
JOHN CARPENTER---Carpenter commented on remakes of his movies, “I love it, if they are going to pay me money. If they pay me, it’s wonderful. If they don’t pay me, I don’t care. I think it’s unfair if they don’t pay me. I think everyone should pay me. Why not? I’m an old guy now and I need money. Send me money.”
GOTHAM CITY SIRENS---speculation continues that Eiza Gonzalez (BABY DRIVER) will play Catwoman in the SUICIDE SQUAD spinoff movie after director David Ayer followed her on Twitter, Gonzalez posted a photo of herself in a Catwoman-like costume and she was seen on the Warner Bros. lot.
GAME OF THRONES---Marc Rissmann (INTO THE BADLANDS) will play Harry Strickland, leader of the Golden Company mercenaries, in two Season 8 episodes.
THE WALKING DEAD---Norman Reedus commented on the upcoming Season 8, “Season 8 feels like our old show again. The people I like working with the most are the ones I’m working with again. The gang’s back together. The fight’s back in it. Last year was so rough. It didn’t feel like our show and I know it is our show, and you’ve got to do stuff like that, but last year felt so disconnected. Everyone was so disconnected in the core group. So it feels like it used to feel again which is really exciting.”
I AM MOTHER---Hillary Swank stars in this sci fi movie about a robot mother raising a teenage girl underground to repopulate the Earth. However, a blood-drenched woman appears and begins to threaten the relationship between mother and daughter.
THE NEW MUTANTS---director Josh Boone said the movie is the first of a horror trilogy, “These are all going to be horror movies, and they’re all be their own distinct kind of horror movies. This is certainly the ‘rubber-reality’ supernatural horror movie. The next one will be a completely different kind of horror movie. Our take was just go examine the horror genre through comic book movies and make each one its own distinct sort of horror film."
LONE WOLF AND CUB---Paramount Pictures movie underway based on the manga. Kevin Walker (SE7EN) will write the script.
DETECTIVE PIKACHU---Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson are candidates to provide the lead voice for the animated movie underway based on the Pokemon game "The Great Detective Pikachu"
