Delighted for you and your furry friend. We lost our stubborn, annoying, foul-mouthed, totally brilliant cat Amelie at the start of the year to a vicious stomach cancer.
I'm also sorry to hear about Amelie, TG. We've lost a couple of cats over the years to the horrible "C" as well. It seems to pop up in our cats more often than our dogs, or maybe we've just been lucky in the canine department in our household....
Great to hear a feline member of your family has beaten back that insidious pestilence, cancer.
I lost my beloved feline buddy, Sammy, to a tumor that was gradually crowding her lungs last year. She refused to leave my side during my long, painful recovery from spinal fusion surgery, and I don't know if I'd be here today with out that 11 lb. cat's devotion. There's nothing that leaves you more helpless than being able to do nothing,,, That's why it's such a great victory that Onya's cat is well. There is hope.

I too am sorry about Amelie. We lost our Yoda to lymphoma about 4 years ago. Cancer is all too common in cats these days.
Bless your cats guys. It hurts a lot when they go as it does with any furry/hairy/feathered family member.
I was heartbroken to lose my beautiful companion Gomez in August this year, a cat who was a real "people" lover, all my friends used to say that he was the most responsive and clever cat they'd known, he was almost dog-like following me to the local shops, coming to my calls etc. He would have made 21 years last month, not a bad innings.
I miss that little mackerel pattered git sooooo much.

Condolences, Timmer. I’m pretty sure you’ve talked about Gomez before. We got Amelie from a well-meaning but poor rescue centre in a grimy part of Leeds and we consoled ourselves that we gave her the best life she could possibly have hoped for. That thought gave us much comfort. I’m sure you were the same.
Positive health vibes to all the kittehs out there!
Good to hear it.
One of our cats, Lotte, a stray we took in 5 - 6 years ago, has been sickly since birth. She doesn't seem to have much of an immune system and she sniffs and snores a lot. Every now and again it gets worse so she doesn't respond to food - and it's 24 hour care time. The place we take her costs the same as a decent hotel per night! And yet she still doesn't want to go, hiding whenever she sees us getting the cat box out.
