Attention U.S. TCM Subscribers: One of film noir's finest is Gun Crazy. Noir's most distinguishing feature, a focus on their criminal participants' psychology, marks a major shift regarding motive: In the earlier "gangster" films, money and power provided enough reason for the pursuit of illegal gains whereas in noir, the internal cause behind the action is paramount, and runs so much deeper... and darker. My review, plus Tuesday (April 17) early evening's showtime information throughout the U.S. can be seen here:

Two people dead, just so we can live without working. Why can't you let them live?

We're into thread re-runs.

We're into thread re-runs.

Hey, Bob

I take it you think I should post information about any of TCM's newer upcoming showings on older threads about the film. I'll definitely consider doing that if readers interested in finding out when the film's next TCM airing is, will look at the most recent post on an old thread. What do you think?

Well, neither the thread title nor your first post gave any indication as to the date of the showing, so I didn't know that the new one was new until I realized there were no replies. Since the thread title and first post are yours, you could add/change the date to the title and the first post to make it fresh. But then you'd have to add a post to the end to bring it to the top.

That's certainly more work than just creating a new thread, so I guess I'm not really suggesting it. It's just that the initial thread had been only 4 months ago, I still recalled it, and there didn't seem to be anything new in the current one other than the re-run announcement. Don't let my comment bother you. Anyone should post whatever they want.

Thanks, I'll give the "update" approach a try.

Hmm looks like we were a tad ahead of the "resurrection" game...

Seems a good time to mention that Warner Archive has announced a Blu-ray of this for next month:
