But I was always a fan of J’onn J’onzz, Manhunter from Mars.”

Strips- You can always count on CBS to reheat some leftovers from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or 00's.
They are probably working on Murder She Wrote the reboot too.

Yesh

As long as Peter Bernstein scores it and get an orchestra, using his father's themes, I'm okay with it. For now.

Catch-22 sounds good, forget movies, all the best stuff is on TV these days (US TV), hopefully it will reignite interest in the 1970 film, which could do with a Blu-ray release, there is a rumour that it could be coming from Criterion, but just a rumour.

I read it somewhere online, but it could be a load of cobblers. I hope something is happening about the Paramount catalogue, it all seems to have come to a full stop.

THE BATMAN---sources say Jake Gyllenhaal is Matt Reeves' choice to replace Ben Affleck if Affleck does not return for the standalone movie.

I don't get whats going on. Yeah, many barfed at the idea of Affleck playing Batman, but then he proved us all wrong and won over the majority of fans. Seems Affleck wants to continue the role. So why all this talk of replacing Affleck when he just got the gig? It's all very vague. I wonder if this is Affleck attempt at generating fan support (as leverage) while he negotiates for more money?

I dont get all the regurgitations of comicbook characters. It's not like they're making a tv series so there's no need for an entire movie to present their backstory. And it's almost always the same story, same villains, etc. and nowadays with endless CGI fights that have no effect on the characters so there's no real impact.

Give me a human, duly deputized agent of the law who actually does some crime fighting...

Ditto with the BBC. 60s 70s shows are getting remade, not for the better, theres a new series called Porridge, its awful, you can't reboot convicts in jail, pointless. wink

Absolutely agree about Porridge. The lead is a terrible actor too.

That said, I thought the one off Goodnight Sweetheart reboot was really good.

Goodnight Sweetheart was good originally, so its worth another go, I didn't actually know about this
because i lose interest after a few bad-boots.
