What a pleasant surprise! What's more, without it I might never have known about your Lon Chaney book. Both are now ordered. As for LOVE HAPPY, I've always had a soft spot for it in my heart, in part because it was all over TV when I was growing up. It's certainly not a "Marx Bros. movie" per se, for all the reasons your book must go into, but I've come to think of it affectionately as a dream I might have, in which my favorite brother, Harpo, gets most of the focus while the other two float around the periphery. I'm very much looking forward to reading your latest opus.

PS: This thread probably should have gone up on the other, non-film-music Board, but let me fix that for you by mentioning that I've always enjoyed the score, a rare film effort by Gershwin protege Ann ("Willow Weep For Me") Ronell -- and in those days, a rare film score to have been written by ANY woman.
