I just stumbled across this page...wonder how long it's been up!
http://cinesonicrecords.com/about/

"CineSonic Records is a brand new venture, but its three founders have decades of in-the-trenches experience producing soundtracks between them.
Taylor White previously owned Percepto Records, an independent soundtrack label that released 25 archival soundtracks from composers including Georges Delerue, Randy Newman, and Bruce Broughton. Chris Mangione is librarian at 2 POP Music editorial, and has been involved in the production of more than a hundred soundtrack releases from various labels. Tim Greiving has written the liner notes for more than 30 soundtrack albums on numerous labels, interviewing dozens of A-list composers, directors, and actors for his in-depth essays.

CineSonic is currently developing a handful of outstanding film and television scores for release, including unearthed gems by the great David Shire and unreleased music by Rachel Portman, Blake Neely, and many more to come."

Since I love Shire and Portman (and Neely is very good too), this is pretty exciting news. I wonder what the titles could be...

Nice development. Normally I might say we're saturated with too many labels, but if they are kind of focusing mainly on two favorites, then there's some room.

I hope her "Experience Preferred ... But Not Required" (along with Scott's rejected score) is amongst them.

They released Shire’s “Women of Brewster Place” for download several years ago and have been quiet ever sincere.

BREWSTER is the only title in their catalog, so this is actually old news? Oh well, dash it all.

Whoops. A shame that no more Shire/Portman/Neely followed.

Well, still, makes you wonder what happened to the collaboration.

Since they mention three composers by name it also makes you wonder what specific scores they had in mind to release...

R.I.P.? I'd have to say, "He's dead, Jim!"

Easy come, easy go.

Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
