U.S. label Severin Films will release on Blu-ray Mick Jackson's film Threads (1984). A standard and Limited Edition Blu-ray releases will be available for purchase on January 30.

Four months later, it was broadcast in America and became the most watched basic cable program in history. Yes, a classic tv play. As depressing as it is fascinating. I have the Radio Times somewhere with the cover feature.
I'll also take this moment to mention that writer Barry Hines came from the same town that I live in, Hoyland near Barnsley in South Yorkshire. A pub opened here recently called The Knave and Kestrel, in honour of his novel A Kestrel for a Knave, on which the 1969 film Kes was based.
All I can remember from this tv show, it being so long ago early 90s is that there was a group in an office & a lot of panic, carnage around em, Reece Dinsdale is a good actor shame his career didn't blossom. Thanks for posting i forgot all about Threads.
