My two Kickstarter star candidates are

MIKLOS ROZSA's JUNGLE BOOK: a classic title and one of Rozsa's unsung masterpiece, never released in proper soundtrack form (complete with good sound).

KORNGOLD'S CAPTAIN BLOOD: Korngold's first movie masterpiece, never released in proper soundtrack form (complete with good sound).
I love listening to Tsunami's archival edition, except for the sound that is ... tear inducing.
Maybe a remastering of the original material with latest digital wizardry could work?

Mine is JUNGLE BOOK. I have the original soundtrack and listen to it often together with the two partial rerecordings. It would be a holy grail for me to sit along side Prometheus's amazing The Thief of Bagdad rerecording done by James Fitzpatrick and his team.

Jungle book and Lost Horizon would be really great, but - especially the second - expensive as well.

Night of the hunter is a brillant score of smaller proportions, for a film well-known film among movies and filmmusic lovers. It seems easier to do.

Concerning Bernie Herrmann, well, any new recordings would be appreciable.

Let's not forget that Jungle Book was also part of Intrada's poll for the next Kickstarter so that could end up happening anyway, if the cost doesn't scare them away.

Sign me up for that masterpiece! Shame Intrada didn't include it in their poll!

Let's also not forget that it won second place in that poll (beating Herrmann), only behind the Goldsmith premiere westerns twofer!

Of course. And that poll also gives me hope for a recording of Friedhofer's Joan of Arc, which is in a close fourth behind the big three.
