Oh yeah, I'm thrilled, too -- it's great. I, not complaining, MV has done great work. But it's always nice to get what you can before tapes disappear, become unusable, or the studio becomes uncooperative. Strike while the iron is still hot.

Honestly I think a 4-disc (or even 2 or 3) set similar to The Final Frontier would be the ideal way to give everyone something they want, plus the TNG material I imagine would help drive more sales. Maybe release a TFF-style set every handful of years as opposed to single volumes from each show. Obviously a 4-disc set would also be ideal in this case, since every composer can be appropriately represented on each disc. But I imagine a tighter, smaller set could work fine. It'd be a lot better than nothing at all!

There's still a lot of great Enterprise music thats still unreleased. All the missing recaps for example. While THE ORVILLE is great at arrival cues, Star Trek Enterprise is great at recap cues. I want them all OMG they were. Terra Prime is amazing.

Even as the most ardent, die-hard TNG fan, of its show and music, even I can admit there isn't anything left to mine there that stands out. Believe me there’s PLENTY!!

Maybe if we had a thread where we noted episodes and cues from DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise, we could talk MV into doing occasional 2CD sets that have cues from all three series on them, to fulfill fan requests. There was already a majorly long FSM thread that did that job, I can find the link, but it was used to curate that last 4 disc set of music from TNG through ENT. This is my favorite period of music from the Trek TV legacy as well, but I'm also very Zen about the fact that we have more on disc than we could have ever hoped for and can continually enjoy from here on out. Now we can create our own playlists from the sets, our own suites, craft our own unique listening experiences and be happy with what we got! I put every series in its own playlist in season and episode order. But always room for more! It’s gorgeous amazing music! And yes I believe a smaller set/releases for individual episodes or composers would be a better more economical option or alternative.

Something like that, but every few years, would be perfect. I think TNG has enough left to be mined... even if not much, the other shows certainly have tons left!
