Got three in my mail yesterday.
Biggest surprise - Captain from Castille
this has long been a problem on vid because of a bad optical track dupe done by Fox and this has sounded lousy for years. Could it be someone at Fox finally duped the sound from a nitrate print.
It now is listenable for the first time in years.
Never thought I would enjoy this film again.

Second - Forever Amber. good picture and excellent sound. I haven't been through the entire track yet, but a few pieces of music that were on the Varese CD are NOT on the music only track.
As some may know, the legion of Decency forced fox to further censor the film by adding a narrator Over the Main title, and adding the voice of Cornel Wilde, at the final scene of the film.
that version was pulled from circulation back when the film ran on Cinemax and has not been shown that way since.
Now this new discs has the original music only beginning, but it has the ending with the narrator that I hoped to never hear again. Not Twilight times fault, but the way Fox gave it to them.
For the final scene I have to switch to the music only track. Other than that, a gratifying experience.

Third - the new Sayonara. this is the first time the film is in 16 x 9 widescreen.
Sound was taken from the only known stereo print which was 3.0 with no surrounds.
I was hoping we would get three.0 for this but we still get the two channel mixdown.
Other odd thing, the music track as a music and effects track. the music only tracks (in mono) are still at Warners.
the finale of the movie is in mono, even though a stereo version was available.
