Please fire away, if thou dost wish.
Or have we all become quite-rightly sick of the issue for the time being?

(PS. It occurs to me that there is a difference to the way Dragon mentions these things as a PART of a thread, rather than having a thread dedicated to it like this.
I would hope any discourse would be civil and reasonable, but if Constable Sones deems this too provocative, I gladly support him if he bins it.
Then again, most of my thread die a quick and merciful death anyway. big grin)

I don't know his work. What little I glanced at on YouTube didn't have me convulsed with giggles.

But what an august and journalistically elite organ in which to vent this pressing moral issue: 'Babe Magazine': see its fine credentials:

https://www.thecut.com/2018/01/what-is-babe-net-the-website-behind-the-aziz-ansari-story.html

This poor distraught maiden whose only crime was that she allowed herself to be undressed and receive cunnilingus, and for THIS modesty she was deemed consenting. What heartless fiend would class this naked receptivity as 'nonverbal consent'? Can an honourable woman no longer strip down to her birthday suit and generously proffer up her maidenhead without it being deemed an invitation?

Doesn't anyone go out for picnics any more? "Do you like marmalade or jam?" sort of questions are what picnics are all about.

It's like driving a car. You can't enter top gear immediately because if you do, you'll simply stall the bloody thing.

He was my least favourite part of PARKS & RECREATION, a show I otherwise loved.

But his series MASTERS OF NONE is absolutely brilliant, even if I still have some issues with him as a 'character'.

Ansari isn't on Silicon Valley.

Ashleigh Banfield weighs in after the writer of the accuser's article takes shots at her:

Then on the accuser:

Then Samantha Bee weighs in on Banfield and Ansari:

The answer is simple. Keep away from the Venus fly trap.

It would seem that this particular story in the #MeToo Saga has fizzled out.
It's just a guess, but I think this would be mainly due to how Ansari contacted the woman and took responsibility for being oblivious to her belated discomfort--it probably made all the difference in this case.

That might be 50% of it.

The other 50% might be that the interview was given to a lowlife gossip mag site, the actions were clearly consensual (if getting naked and receiving oral sex is not to be deemed consensual, then what is?), and the whole thing has the general air of a publicity sting.

The #MeToo people know they need to exercise some objectivity. Besides, it's too early to tell how his career will be hit.

Does anyone know if Oprah Winfrey, the now-leader of this movement, has denounced Harvey Weinstein yet? Harvey boy doesn't get so much as a mention in this propaganda piece:

For those that think there's been no (male) victims as of late from these sexual allegations, read up on how a depraved girl ruined the career of Jordan Chariton. (Putting politics aside)

Yes it does. When it comes to the oral thing, all the woman has to do is bite down...

I'm sorry, I HATE the idea of anyone being taken advantage of (period), but especially sexually. My big question is:

"If you were so negatively effected to make you want to bring this up after...what made you NOT call the police first?"

I've met women who made claims about people I knew back when I was drinking. Most of their stories fell apart when I asked them the above question.

That kind of situation (feeling overtly pressured to have sex) is a no-brainer 911 call imo. That person needs to answer for that.

That's IF it (and so many other allegations) really happened, and to be uncomfortably frank, America seems to be the place where if you aren't in the papers, MTV, or have 1 million youtube hits you're nothing.
