I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned "Sargeant Ryker" which was originally a two part episode of "Kraft Suspense Theatre", and served as the pilot to "Court Martial", with Dillman repeating his role and was released theatrically in '68.
I mentioned it in my post of Jan 20, 2018 - 6:48 PM
It's interesting to note that "In Love And War" involved two San Francisco natives: Dillman and composer Hugo Friedhofer. He also starred with another San Francisco native (Stuart Whitman) in “Francis Of Assisi”.
For the record, his Chosen Survivors character was not a coward. He was good in a predictably poignant role as a blinded brilliant surgeon in a "Breaking Point" episode. Around that time starred in "Circle of Deception," a WW2 film with shades of "Spy who came in from the cold." And has a pivotal role in the great TV horror film "Fear No Evil." He's also the titular character in the well-regarded TV horror flick "Moon of the Wolf."
When actor Stewart Moss got older, I confused him with Dillman in films like "Bat People" (aka "It lives by night" on MST3k).
Bradford Dillman appears in countless tv shows—find a selection:
The Alfred Hitchcock Hour (twice) 12 O'Clock High The Wild Wild West Mission: Impossible (twice) Ironside (twice) Rod Serling's Night Gallery ("Pickman's Model") Longstreet (pilot) Columbo ("The Greenhouse Jungle") The Streets of San Francisco
I also remember him the Dirty Harry saga as the superior of Harry Callahan: see The Enforcer and Sudden Impact.
In which he played Captain McKay in the first film, and Captain Briggs in the second.
