Wonderful and a happy surprise. I really didn’t think a cd would appear. Just bought a blu-ray of the film from the States. It really is quite something ( if you like these slow moody type of films)
I didn't expect it either. I'd like to think I had a hand in it on some level, since I not only pressed the Preisner people for it, showcased it in two podcast episodes and also hosted a Q&A with the director back in January -- who no doubt brought the kudos back to Preisner. Who then, perhaps, realized there was demand for it.
Or I could have had nothing to do with it at all. Regardless, I'm thankful it gets to come out there and be heard by more people.
Awful. Sounds like it could be the synth mockup of a rejected score for Richard Harris' 70s movie "Man in the Wilderness". I'll now play "The Secret Garden" to remind myself what a fine composer Mr. Preisner is.

Love Preisner including Valley- I really dislike Secret Garden- sold back after 2 listens.
Many folk out there buy this? Such a great score. Yes its not for everyone as its quiet, dreamy quality might tax some folk's patience but ...what a score. Always a big thanks to Thor for highlighting it in the first place.
