For some reason the rights holders are apparently not interested. La La Land Records tried and tried to get it, but last year or the year before they said they couldn't.

I heard that someone on the productions convinced Sony to keep the rights in-house instead of licensing them out, so I'm holding out hope for some good news next year for the 35th/30th anniversaries.

I heard that someone on the productions convinced Sony to keep the rights in-house instead of licensing them out, so I'm holding out hope for some good news next year for the 35th/30th anniversaries. From what I recall *someone* was Randy Edelman, regarding the release of his score to GB II, and that the company that currently holding the cards is Madison Gate Records. I've written them and they responded: Dear Ryan, Thank you for your inquiry. We do not currently have release dates for these titles, but when/if we do in the future, we’ll be sure to post. Thanks so much for your interest. Sincerely, Jaime Cyr, VP Strategic Planning Sony Pictures Music Group | Madison Gate Records| All Roads Music 10202 W. If some label does get the rights from the Gatekeeper and it's announced it's a new mastering and this time complete, I'll sell my copy in advance. Just sayin'.
