...ET was gorgeous and I could feel my eyes moistening as we approached the climax of the final cue...
I grabbed a video of the entire E.T. suite with my pocket stills camera. The sound's pretty tinny, but I did it so I could study how the musicians play the music I won't post it anywhere though as I consider it for private study use.
Doesn’t sound like a hanging offence to me. I think sometimes people build minor personal irritations into much bigger things. A lady once spent the first half of a concert hall performance tapping her reading glasses on her programme in time to the music. When she started again after the interval I wanted to beat her to death with them. If she’d just been waving them in the air it wouldn’t have been so bad because it was the metronomic tapping that annoyed.
I remember a symphony concert several years ago when I began hearing an irritating clicking sound. A man seated near me was clipping his fingernails. Unbelievable!

Akk! Nobody could have blamed you if you’d treated the people sitting near him to the satisfying sound of his fingers being broken in time with the adagio non troppo!
No, I think he was supposed to return to LA this week, if he hasn't already done so.
Cheers, Thor, for the concert briefing and I hope he gets home in good health. Coming over to this side of the pond seems to have taken something of a toll.
