My family tree and in-law tree is dotted with some talented artists. I am not among the artistic leaves on that tree. However, I know for a fact that there are artists among the FSM family; theOzman for example.

If you sketch, paint, sculpt, please share your story and better yet a sample of your talent with us.

That's me, too (I mean as I'm also in Octoberman's musician's thread; I'm a guy with very normal hair).

Also, used to make Star Trek ships:

Very cool and modern Justin. I showed your picture to my son and he was very impressed as well.

I followed the link and am really impressed by the Star Trek ships too. The accompanying commentary is very interesting. Thanks so much. I look forward to more.

Nah, it's just full of nerdage. ;-)
I got three or four ships up in other threads I created in that subforum.

I made a lot of those weird faces, but they've been packed up in a box unknown for a long time.

Wow, I'm impressed, Justin. The trek ships are great, and that "that's me" self-portrait is amazing. Love the design and use of colors.

I'm envious. I wish I could draw or paint. I can barely draw a straight line using a ruler.

No, I meant "That's me, too" as in I was also in Octoberman's composers thread, too.

Music making, art, writing, other little hobbies.

I also got into painting and indeed I was given a gift of a paint set, but life got in the way and I never got to that.

There's some wonderful digital designers in the custom covers thread. I don't know if I have time to embed images, but I can post links to some of my stuff.

Post those links, Solium.

More artists need to chime in here.

Hi Joan. My blog has a very small fraction of the art I've done over the years. It ranges from pencil sketches, pen and ink, markers, digital drawings and photo manipulation.

Thank you very much. smile Believe it or not that was done on the computer in Photoshop with a mouse. I now use a Wacom tablet and pen which gives me more control.

Okay, this non artist is very impressed, Solium. I would think with your talent you'd be some kind of a FAMOUS graphic artist.

FWIW, as I've been a member here for aeons but only visit occasionally and post rarely ... though I did drop a couple of submissions into the 'alternative covers' thread ...

Here's my DeviantArt page: there's assorted cartoons, ambigrams, tessellations, photos and whatnot. https://dtw42.deviantart.com/gallery/

And an album of photo editing on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.911123365576474.1073741849.100000364569250&type=1&l=60218f5aa8

I can vouch for The Wanderer’s “doodling”. I have several originals, which I’m keeping for when you get famous.

So interesting. The photo challenge submissions are extremely creative and detailed. Thank you for sharing.
