Roger says Feb 20th Release Actually there won't be one, as some folks in this part are taking a brief respite before the onslaught of the rest of the year. Coming later this year, more of your favorites: Goldsmith, Horner, Conti, more Horner, Silvestri, more Goldsmith, Moross, Rubinstein, and of course Broughton. Maybe even some Delerue.

More surprising on that list is Moross (thought we were running out of scores of his that survive...wonder what it could be? Gwangi tapes found in good condition?), Conti, and perhaps Rubinstein...but surprised Intrada doesn't have any Williams on their plate but maybe LLL is handling all of that now? Yavar

Someone at a Label explained less-represented 1970s composers like Fred Karlin (whose few releases usually sell out!) arent worth releasing because there's a glut of them in the market. I just dont see this "glut."

More Jerry Goldsmith YAY! I'd freak out if it was "Freud". Why, it's been released. Search around if you're looking for something: http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/ Yes, it was released... 9 years ago, and has increased in value on the secondary market. http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/title/8395/Freud Younger people who weren't collectors do become interested in soundtracks and would like to buy scores that are too prohibitively expensive on the secondary market, you know.

No love in Barry?
As for Conti title, I think it could be Spy Hard... It wasn't meant to be a comprehensive list...but that was a big omission on my part. Yes Barry too.

Mind boggles on the Goldsmiths and Horners. Goldsmith and Silvestri... The Mummy and The Mummy Returns? I know, whishful thinking. Top of my Grail list. But get some rest Intrada hamsters, you deserve it.

I suppose that means no Buttolph or Skinner anytime soon. Sounds like a classical pops label announcing: "Coming later this year, more of your favorites: The Three Tenors, The Three Tenors, and more Three Tenors. Maybe even some Andrea Bocelli".

I don't think Freud is likely to be among the Goldsmith titles, but I wouldn't mind if it was, because though Varese did release it on CD (and "expanded" it from the LP as a "Deluxe Edition"), it still isn't quite complete and even apparently featured an alternate version of one cue (maybe two?) than what was on the LP itself (so even all of the LP program hasn't made it onto an official CD version). If LLL can release an improvement upon the Varese Club release of Magic by adding just the one missing 25 second cue....if Quartet can release new definitive two disc versions of Total Recall and Basic Instinct when the Varese Deluxe Edition and Prometheus release turned out to be missing film takes and such...if Kritzerland can release a new version of Breakheart Pass that adds a cue or two from the film stems that was left off LLL's source...hell if Kritzerland or LLL can re-release early FSM titles like Stagecoach or Rio Conchos with no extra music at all but drastically improved sound...well, I think there's more than enough room for a better edition of Freud, a really interesting and historically important Goldsmith score, due to his first Oscar nomination for it as well as its later use in Alien. And by the way, LLL reissued Intrada's exact album master of Link, no additional music or sound improvement...but upgraded the artwork thanks to Jim Titus. That wasn't a waste of time either. And even if the artwork hadn't been the same, it was still giving people who had missed the Intrada release another chance at it. Yavar
