IMHO I think that music didnĀ“t work at film and was sometimes quite distracting - I mostly remember use of that weird folksy guitar.

P.S. Book by Jeff VanderMeer is really good - check it.

Anyone come up with a film order of score tracks (including bonus)?

Finally! But apparently only one CD. According to Amazon, release date is 6/29.

The film was very disappointing with poorly developed characters, flat tone and a lack of sense or internal logic but I liked quite a few moments in the music. I'd be interested in hearing it away from the film.

I really liked the film (despite a couple of flaws), but thought the score on album was underwhelming. Here's my (Norwegian-language) review:

A friend of mine had a pretty good single tweet review of the film which I've posted below:

Annihilation (2018, dir. Alex Garland) - A meteor crashes to Earth and turns on a bunch of WinAmp plugins from the late 1990s.

"I find that the best scores are those that are able to help filmmakers tell a story without detracting from it, while also allowing an isolated listening experience around which those experiencing it can craft their own story. On Annihilation, Barrow and Salisbury achieve this profoundly and with great reward for listeners and, notably, filmgoers." - Vehlinggo

Confirmed as single CD only. Was kinda hoping they'd have gone the Ex-Machina route with the bonus CD - but regardless. I will pick this one up eventually.
