Introducing Soundtrack Saturdays !

Come away from your computer screens and actually talk to fellow soundtrack friends in real life. Our yearly event is wonderful, but why not have a few meet ups before our big annual event so we can talk film music! What are you listening to? What new composers are you liking? What did you think of the latest Intrada, La-La Land or Varese releases, but not Kritzerland releases?

We picked Clifton's as our location because it's so unique and fun and you can hear each other talk. They have a GIANT tree in the middle of the place, a large cafeteria that serves a wide variety of food, full bar, desserts and more!

So have a late breakfast so you can have a late lunch with us or get a drink or dessert and let's just hang out for a while. Parking is a snap. Public parking is across the street and around the corner, you can't miss it.

We'll be meeting NEXT SATURDAY Feb. 24th at 2PM. Composer Edwin Wendler and I will be there for sure! We will be in the lobbywearing name badges to help identify us. You are responsible for all your food/drink. If you are a composer or fan, come on out! If you are going, go to my profile, go to Fans Of Film Music and email from there so we can get a head count.

See you there!

To reinforce the film motif, they should title the event "First Contact."

"Jim gives the film score fan a mild sedative. This will not harm the film score fan, but will allow for the placement of a radio-controlled collar, for tracking purposes."

"The film score fan rarely emerges from his lair. The event we have staged will allow us a rare opportunity to see how the film score fan socially interacts with others of his sub-species."

"The film score fan stays with his mother longer than any other mammal known to science, sometimes as long as 42 years. This evolutionary adaptation has allowed the film score fan to survive amid otherwise hostile environments. This is fortuitous, given the sub-specie's low reproduction rates."

I'd come, but since you'll only be discussing "the latest Intrada, La La Land, and Varese releases" I'll take a pass.

Maybe next time then!!!!!!! If you do come in the future Bruce, be warned we are only allowed to talk about Varese, La-La Land and Intrada's releases. Anyone talking about any other label's releases will be killed. smile

drivingmissdaisy has ignored half the respondents to his own thread! Can you imagine the "cold shoulder" he'd give in person?

(Say it ain't so, dmd!)

I can say it ain't so. I wish I'd videoed his wide-eyed reaction to some of the things he saw in London that time. I've rarely had so much fun standing up.

To those of us who "identify" as a "Nervous Angular Shorthair", Marlin Perkins was DA MAN; hence Onya's inspirational posts.

You guys are lucky. We on the East Coast have to meet in abandoned subway tunnels to reveal our inmost selves...

Because of the similarities in body type, tracking an FSMer is much the same as tracking a Horta.
