I find it puzzling that a composer with 33 years in the film music business hasn't got a single compilation album out there. A 2CD-set with his best selections is long overdue.
the only "compilation" regarding JNH is silva's hunger Games saga. But you're right, mr Howard deserves a CD Retrospective (including some unreleased gems from the 80s).
I concur. Odd (and appropriate) that I just saw this a moment ago as I listen to the expanded CD release of "Dave," one of my go-to JNH scores. Great idea and I hope it happens at some point.
It could easily eat up two discs worth. He is one of my favorite underrated composers. My picks would be: Peter Pan, Waterworld, King Kong, Wyatt Earp, The Village, The Postman. He has too many to list and its hard to cover everyones favorites with a double CD. Lets go For 3 CDs for each decade, 80s, 90s and 2000s.
So. If you were gonna compile a JNH 2CD set (let's say 70 minutes per disc), what would you put on it?
