STAR WARS: EPISODE IX---JJ Abrams said he and Chris Terrio have finished writing the script and filming begins at the end of July.
JURASSIC WORLD 3---Colin Trevorrow announced the third movie in the franchise is underway and is being co-written by Emily Carmichael (PACIFIC RIM UPRISING), “It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive. I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. [Bayona] has brought to FALLEN KINGDOM, and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy.” Premiere is June 11, 2021.
JAMES BOND---sources say Danny Boyle and John Hodge (TRAINSPOTING) are writing a script for the 25th Bond movie. If producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli like the script, Boyd will be hired as director. If the script is rejected, the producers will use a script already written by Bond veterans Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the director would be between Yann Demange or David Mackenzie.
GAME OF THRONES---Maisie Williams commented on the rumor that HBO filmed multiple endings to prevent the leak of the real ending, "I heard this and I thought, 'I don't think we got the budget to shoot multiple endings,' "
She added that she knows the real ending and sent copies of the scripts to her mother, "Actually, I sent my mom the scripts."
JUNGLE CRUISE---Walt Disney Pictures visual effects supervisor Jake Morrison commented on the Dwayne Johnson movie based on the Disney attraction, “I mean I’ve got to say, I’m incredibly excited about the whole thing, it’s really like Dwayne is in a new Indiana Jones film. It’s Dwayne at his best, and that is a man with some severe charisma. And then we’re putting him on this huge adventure, and they’ve just literally announced the female lead in the picture is Emily Blunt."
RUSH HOUR 4---Chris Tucker confirmed he and Jackie Chan are returning for the fourth movie in the franchise, “It’s happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”
THE WALKING DEAD---Chandler Riggs said now that Carl Grimes has been killed off, he auditioned for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING and SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, “I auditioned for Spider-Man. I auditioned for Han Solo, all those big movies. I would love to do something like that. It would be awesome, especially now that I have a lot more free time, it would be really, really cool.”
INSIDIOUS---the fifth movie in the franchise is underway.
Z---futuristic Zorro movie set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Kiersey Clemons.
MARVEL'S MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR---Marvel TV animated series underway based on the comic book about the adventures of a black girl and her crimson-colored dinosaur.
THE SIMPSONS---Ray Liotta will voice Morty Szyslak, Moe's father.
HBO---renewed CRASHING and HIGH MAINTENANCE.
NBC---renewed SUPERSTORE and AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.
TRIVIA---Whit Bissell was a prolific character actor whose movie and tv career spanned over three decades. Bissell was the son of a prominent New York surgeon and graduated from the University of North Carolina.
