Is anybody else watching this show? I am totally digging it. J.K. Simmons is frikkin’ awesome in this!
I am loving Jeff Russo’s score as well. Hopefully this will get a soundtrack release.

I'm hooked on this series. Love J.K Simmons. I love the way his body language (walk, slumping, etc.) changes between his characters. Can't say I'm enamored yet with the music.

I'm also in a constant state of confusion when watching this series. Hope some answers or clarity will be provided over time.

The story and the duality concept are fascinating.

Are JeffM and I the only two watching this new series?

If you have access to Starz, watch this series. It boggles the mind.

The show has just been released on Blu-ray and dvd on Netflix, which is how I discovered it. I just finished the last episode. WHEW! Now that was intense! This must be the most intellegently written show, wonderfully produced, (14-15 Producers which vary from episode to episode), and superbly acted by all. HOW does J.K. Simmons act so perfectly when he's acting against 'himself' in the same scene? Yet he does it convincingly. I thought Stephen Rea as the most oily of villains to be outstanding as well. I was so tempted to just QUIT the series after a couple of the first episoded were seemingly 'going nowhere' and without pay-off. I'm glad I stuck with this series, I cannot get enough!
You cannot avert your eyes for a moment from this series or you'll miss something or someone important. This show really makes you work at being entertained!

Hey, Montana Dave, I can't wait for season 2.

Hi Joan. I don't have ANY t.v. hook-up by choice, so I view my films and shows on Blu-ray when they're released. I'm always, always playing 'catch-up', but that's o.k. Now however, an entire year before I find out what happens in Season 2 of 'Counterpart'. After about the 3rd or 4th episode, the series just really took off for me, and got progressively MORE EXCITING. Would you like to meet 'The Other Joan', and, would she also enjoy film music? I cannot understand how 'Counterpart' was completely shut-out from Emmy consideration in every single category!

This series should have received some Emmy nominations for creative writing and for J.K. Simmons.
Season 2 is filming and won't play on Starz until early 2019. I promise I won't write any spoilers for you.

Maybe my counterpart wouldn't like any music. Who knows?

Again, how does Russo sleep?

At the risk of striking a needlessly snarky tone, I imagine he does so in much the same way McCreary and Neely probably do, by basically just being the face of a music business branding with their name at the fore rather than a singular composer, and by delegating to a team of ghost writers and orchestrators, who craft simplistic music directly into a MIDI program that doesn't require a ton of compositional acumen (ergo, time and thought) to churn out on a conveyor-belt-like system.

Well one episode in and I'm hooked. If this is just getting going then it might be my new favorite show since Person of Interest.

Russo's contribution is pretty strong here. Not sure if he's just a "face" but it sounds enough like Discovery to me to make me think it's all him.

Can't wait for the rest. And Season 2 airing now.
