My wife and I are owned by two and a half cats - the half cat is a semi-stray we take care of.

Periodically, we try to the think of the worst possible names for cats.

Two that we think would be bad cat names in particular are:

Victor Borge
Joe Don Baker

What do you think are some particularly bad cat names?

Yeah Onya, those are pretty bad names for cats. But not really any worse than any other real person's name. Charles Bronson? Margaret Thatcher? Arthur Scargill? Jerry Goldsmith? In fact surnames for cats sound really stupid. By the way, my wife and I are also possessed... by three cats - Papichulo, The Melon, and China.

I know a girl who has a horse called María, which I think sounds rather dumb.

Charles Bronson?

Charles Bronson would be a GREAT name for a cat. So would Frank Sinatra, or Alain Delon, or W.H. Auden.

But Victor Borge and Joe Don Baker are terrible cat names.

i think theyre great names for cats.
You could call the joe don baker cat Molly for short - his name in charley varrick.

Charlie bronson is great name for a cat - especially if he was good at digging or liked melons!

If you had one that couldnt see very well in 2D vision you could call it Ray charles. wink

Or if it were deaf, you could name it, "The Other Ray Charles."

Stormy Daniels

That made me LOL.

Sebastian Cabot, for a fat cat.

Animal shelters often give strays a human name which seems weird and lame (Nancy, Susan, etc).

In Joe Don Baker's short-lived television series "Eischied (1979-80), he played a Chief of Detectives who had a cat named "P.C.," short for "Police Commissioner." The cat's real name? -- "Waldo Kitty."

I thought you were going to suggest "Eischied" for a cat name. Was it a good show?
Here's another cat name: Joe Bob DiMucci wink

Eischeid was great. A very decent baker vehicle. Not quite French connection gritty but Quite violent for TV at the time.
He was a bit of a no nonsense dirty harry who made top cop.
In the uk it was called Chief of Detectives.

"Eischied" was a routine cop show. It only lasted 13 episodes, being wiped out in the ratings by "Dallas."
