As I recall the A&M Records release of Octopussy was one of the hardest and one of the most expensive CDs on the secondary market until the Rykodisc release. Likewise the EMI Japan release of A View To A Kill was one of the hardest to find until the Capitol release. I manged to picked up the latter in Paris.

A lot of Morricone titles are hard to come by. I'm currently looking for Espion, leve-toi (Music Box) and La Battaglia di Algei (Quartet Records) and so far found a copy of each on eBay for a princely sum. Jarre's Night of the Generals, Giacchino's Tomorrowland, Horner's Something Wicked This Way Comes and a number of Barry titles are also hard to find.

Well,by stating:
"Youtube has your list"..you are guilty of hammering one nail into the coffin of lables which are putting a lot of time and effort into it to release such scores which otherwise would never see the light of day.
They only exist on you tube cause lables did release them.

If the titles are OOP whats the harm? No money lost other than from scalpers. It's the licensee(s) fault for not keeping their product in print for the customer base.

These are not exactly hard to find but they're extremely hard on the wallet. smile

I'd say the complete Highlander, 2 disc, released by Warner Chappell Music Inc, its one of me rarest finds which I snagged from a record fair for £25, some 10+ years ago. I've never, ever, seen it on Ebay or Amazon.

You do see a 2 disc by Cimmerian/Bayres & the Immortal release + their 25th Anni, however, either immortals don't cover all the music & that awful grainy 2 disc boot still didn't complete.

I acquired The Quiet Earth last year, 1st edition digi-pack for a fantastic price that's very hard to find now in mint condition, you can find the later release easier in jewel case but the price still hurts.

I suppose titles that have been released on CD & never re-issued for some reason, like, Jarre's, Night Of The Generals (which I have & still listen to) & Williams, The Eiger Sanction & Dracula (I had that once, but haven't been able to find it for years, I must have lost it), & of course the FSM early sell-out The Towering Inferno.

I imagine "Promo's" are the hardest CD's to find.
