I enjoyed the previous two films in this series, but this one really highlights all that can be good AND bad about MNS. For all the bits that worked well, there are an equal number of bits that are excruciatingly bad. In trying to take things up to another level, the budget cannot match it's reach and the final section of the film kept reminding me of Butters in South Park doing his Professor Chaos character. I was giggling to myself at how silly and 'small potatoes' it all looked, kicking off in the parking lot between about 6 or 7 people. I imagined CD track titles like Battle At The Muddy Puddle, Grass Hopping and Car Park Spat. Oh, how I kept myself amused! Once again, Shyamalan's writing and direction of certain actors in scenes renders things really badly, against other sequences that are quite strong and compelling. He can be infuriatingly hit and miss. The music is a mishmash of styles (screechy string samples, brooding sound design, some Zimmer/Man Of Steel style scoring and quotes of JNH's UNBREAKABLE themes) but is pretty effective and works overall.

Was waiting for that finale in the newly built skyscraper, ...........but, .....budget restrains decided the climax would be in a parking lot, ....... with a van..........some cheap Japanese police cars and..........oh whatever! Enjoyable though.
