Still, I think there was toward the very end of the movie a rather long piece which was not penned by Cosma. The main characters are busy watching a movie in that scene if I'm not mistaken. Eda, I'm sure you will recognize a few cues, in particular Ballade 69 and Pop, sweat & tears. Among the new material, my favourite theme is Emmanuelle (slow rock), a superb pastiche of the 60's. I've seen the movie yesterday and enjoyed it as well as its score. I have recognized main theme of "UN PROFIL POUR DEUX" Actually COSMA wrote this main theme in 1971 for "TANG" It's been released Single. The track 2 - KYO ET L'AMOUR - same theme, but another arrangement. TANG is an early score still very much influenced by Legrand. Another exercize for you: did you recognize the tune rearranged in Techno-tango sur Seine? This one is much easier. You also recognized L'ADIEU AUX AS in the other thread and are therefore a true Cosma expert. Back to the new score: I don't have the CD yet but it's available on Spotify. I also agree that Cosma's music is pretty much addictive. So don't listen too much to it! Cosma indeed used his old music but in new style. As you noted from Dupont Lajois, from Les grands détectives and main theme as i said from TANG. Anyway i've enjoyed the arrangements of new style. There is only one exception I can think of: the main theme from HITLER A HOLLYWOOD available as download only. But even there, Cosma didn't use a repetitive pattern only and inserted a real theme. Noone else enjoying the music of Cosma over here? It seems as though Eda's questions and remarks are too precise and therefore too daunting (I can't answer them all) but otherwise and beyond specific questions, I really recommend the three boxes of 17 CD's each to the readers of this board, or at least to start with samplers. A now OOP 2 CD set was once published in the U.S. by Drg records but it seems that his music isn't widespread enough abroad. Yet this talented musician always develops clear, fresh and recognizable tunes wrapped in inventive and pleasant arrangements. You never get bored with his music. I've got HITLER A HOLLYWOOD long time ago but i've already forgot all the music, because it was 5 years ago and i've never seen that movie and didn't listen to this score all of those years. Style of some tracks reminds me his Le Diner De cons and Bolling's Le Gitan scores. Ballade 69 indeed is familiar to me. For anyone interested in this new soundtrack, I also wanted to say the announced date of release (27th of April) has not been respected but it's now available. Where? It's still out of stock at Amazon FR. Sorry Lokutus, I found it yesterday in a Parisian shop and can't tell for Amazon and other retailers. But I assume it'll soon be available online too. I can at least attest that the CD exists!
