Agreed. This whole 'please contact Naxos cos p&p has got nothing to do with us' shenanigans is really bad form.
Talk about wiping your hands of the whole sorry mess.
DMD even paid a customer OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET recently over some botch up with THE HAUNTING!!
A lovely gesture, to be sure, but not how things should be resolved really.
Obviously most (if not all) of us will still be interested and want to buy Varese product in the future, but if you don't live in the USA, the $5 mark-up on titles posted from other companies is a small price to pay, when compared to the debacle that awaits you otherwise.

Varese has always been the only company to have the $5 mark up when their titles are sold by other vendors which I've always felt is a bit mean on their behalf. I suspect this whole shipping business is something that has come from the higher ups to save money and not from those who run the label so perhaps they could cancel this $5 markup at other vendors to help us out a bit. It truly is a shame to see a label with such a great legacy behind it come to this and essentially alienate their entire international clientele, ordering directly from them is just not an option anymore.

The $5 price increase on Varèse titles sold at other vendors is incurred because they're the only label that sells their stock to vendors at full price.

I'm aware of that, I'm just suggesting that perhaps given the current problems they may want to revise that policy, I'll be very surprised if they do though!

Very strange, cause mine package did have the adjusted sale price on it. So either I was lucky or they are bullshitting you.

Seems they screwed some people over, but not all. Figures.

Look, y'all snag these sales, willingly/knowing! 3 solutions, you quietly pay the charge, buy off SAE or go else-where. Europe.

Curious! Why the sour-grapes when the same crowd still shop there regular, what am I missing.

We've all had charges in the past.. I just can't be bothered to air-it...

Similar, two years ago. SAE/MSM, you buy the ten-deal their 1$ each, ok..

Got 2 parcels, one marked 100$, other 50$, I know mistakes happen but clearly the sale stated 1$.

2 P/O tickets, paid over 5 times more for each cd, not a bad deal not great either...

Anyway, long forgotten, I still purchase freely with SAE, no issues since...

"Fewer than 75 copies remaining"

Jupiter Ascending was limited? Huh. Good thing I nabbed a set.

Am I the only one who bought "Crime in the Streets?" I have had the LP for ages, but was happy to get a digital version.

A must for fans of nervous angular longhair.

I did, based on your recommendation (and after listening to clips, of course). It's great. Thanks!

Limited on Varèse (it seems) unlimited on Sony. Both pressings have the same content.

Yeah, but... Sony has no mixing bowls.

I don't need no stinking "sale" to buy Waxman!

Everything is limited. If they're trying to get rid of stock at $10 for a two disc set, they're surely not going to press more. The film was a huge flop, so I'm guessing this wasn't such a hot seller for them.

So "limited" in the sense that a maximum was mentioned at release? No.

"Limited" in the sense that "We're almost out, and we ain't making no more." Yes.

I don't know anything about Waxman, other than Sunset Boulevard and Crime in the Streets. I like the latter because it has that nervous angular longhair sound.

Did Waxman do other scores or albums that sound like Crime in the Streets?
