A couple of favorites from the Bob Dorough "A Taste of Honey" album on the Music Minus One label. Music Minus One put out records for musicians to practice along with, typically recordings of performances minus one instrument. "A Taste of Honey" is "minus one singer or instrumentalist" for the lead, so they are essentially like karaoke or backing tracks. Warning: extremely groovy.
The Beat Goes On:
A Taste Of Honey (This one is almost unrecognizable without the lead, but again, still very groovy!):
Schoolhouse Rock is also a classic, burned into the brain of probably everyone who grew up on 1970s Saturday morning cartoons like I did. Many thanks Mr. Dorough.

I NEED THIS RECORD! I'D NEVER HEARD OF IT! THANK YOU!
According to this, I was too old to be swayed by Schoolhouse Rock, but man, that was the best thing about Saturday morning TV in the 70's - well, besides Mulligan Stew, Star Trek TAS and Return to Planet of the Apes.
Conjunction Junction and I'm Just a Bill were formative.
"I'm Hip," is of course a song by the inimitable Dave Frishberg, ("Marooned in a Blizzard of Lies," "My Attorney Bernie"). He and Dorough made a great album together, which I highly recommend.
