I always liked his work. Such a fine voice - "The Chaplin Puzzle", "The Spider", the "Eye of the Eagle" compilation... Old-fashioned in the best sense of the word.
I believe the compilation was available cheaply on Moviescore Media's site a few weeks back. Not sure if the offer is still on; regardless, a must-have album.

Does MSM sell cd's?
Sometimes. Not sure, but since this was a 2009 release, it might be from when they manufactured CDs more often.
Come to think of it, it might have been Screen Archives or some vendor that had the MSM CD for sale back then.
Sad news.. I'm really gutted another Nordic composer gone. 55 is to young. Gutted!
All I know sadly about Hyldgaard was The Spider its a beautiful score with bags of energy nice melodies/feelings, Soren's a talented guy i'll miss him.
I'm gunna pick-up Eye of the Eagle in homage, every-one raves about the scores with there easy listening/charm.
maybe you should give the full name of the title her since there also was a score album released for the film EYE OF THE EAGLE
What's so difficult to understand about the sentence "His compilation album EYE OF THE EAGLE (pictured below) is IMO a must-have for all film music fans" in the first post?
I have no idea what you're smoking, Marcato. Yes, I'm well aware there is a film and a soundtrack album called EYE OF THE EAGLE. I specifically mentioned the compilation album with the same name in the first post, and featuring selections from that particular score. All subsequent replies mentioning this title have also talked about the compilation album.
Actually, out of the 8 times (not including the 8 times this last discussion) Eye of the Eagle was mentioned, six times it was accompanied with the words 'compilation' of (one time) 'sampler. The onthef tow timeshare a direct reply to a mention of the compilation album. I don't see how this can be confusing.
I may have misunderstood Marcato's last post, though. His "So are [sic] the score album for EYE OF THE EAGLE" may have been an argument that it's also a must-have, like the compilation. It may very well be; I haven't heard it. But the selections on the comp are great.
