I'm moving to LA and bringing the family with me.
Trying to come up with a good Playlist of music that evokes the city.

During a visit last year I had LLL's 2016 Beverly Hills Cop release playing while I got (intentially) lost driving around at night. It was one of the more perfect nights of my life.

I've started a list but definitely interested in others thoughts.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you ever make it to Los Angeles? If so, which scores accompanied you on your journey?

Hey I forgot about this thread. Thanks for reminding.
Four days in the car last week. Been here since Friday night.

Albums & Songs on the Playlist

Holiday Road / Dancing Across The USA - Lindsey Buckingham
Movin' Right Along - Muppet Movie Soundtrack
(I start every trip with these 3 songs)
Westbound and Down - Jerry Reed

North By Northwest
Various Star Treks

Oklahoma & Texas
Paris Texas - Ry Cooder

New Mexico & Arizona
BTTF 3
Once Upon A Time in The West

As I drove into the city
Chinatown
Blade Runner
Grand Canyon

There's more, I'll have to scrub through my library to recall everything.

Should Tom decide to come back, he could start with the Michael Small score to Wagons East.

HEAT is the absolute pinnacle of capturing LA 'vibes', IMO. Especially sunset and night time.

That would be Santa Rosita (Santa Monica), but close enough.

Great choice! It's impossible to be sad with the music of ol' Jerry (Reed) cranked out loud.

Well we're all here now.
Started working, found an apartment, family flew out, kids in school...
To relieve this stresses of moving I've been going to the Chinese Theater for the Marvel IMAXfest.
Driving up Hollywood Blvd to the theater tonight there was really only one possible choice of music...
