No, not the record label Rhino, the score.

This time of year I listen to exotica and this one has that sound.

This is a really fun score. I'm listening to it now because you mentioned it.

What other scores and albums do you listen to around this time of year?

Even better… maybe this could be one of those threads where people post their favorite exotica tracks…

Well, tons of exotica and Latin jazz, but in terms of film scores, I also like:

The Johnny Mandel score in the box set - forget the title
White Witch Doctor
Beneath the 12-Mlle Reef
Jaws
Daktari
Hawaiian Eye

and my favorite:

Green Mansions!

That's Mandel's 1963 Drums of Africa.

Why is OnyaBirri's list above so short?
I would have thought there'd be more than merely a half-dozen titles.

Do you own a lot of exotica soundtracks, Onya? Are these your only favorites?
I think plenty more exist in this category but I don't know if Onya is aware of them or simply doesn't like them...

Another one from Lalo: "Che" (Cuban and Bolivian rhythms and melodies)

Onya has somewhere between 5 thousand and 10 thousand albums, so Onya can't remember everything he owns when quickly responding to a post.

A few more:

Les Baxter: Sadismo, Cervantes, Marco Polo, Bora Bora.
