THE MULE---the AMERICAN SNIPER team of Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper may reunite for this movie based on the true story of an elderly man facing bankruptcy who unwittingly becomes a drug mule for a Mexican drug cartel and the DEA agent intent on apprehending him. Eastwood will star and direct the movie with Cooper in talks to play the DEA agent.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING 2---Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play villain Mysterio in the sequel. Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Zendaya are returning for the sequel.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---Joonas Suotamo (6' 11"), who replaced Peter Mayhew as the actor playing Chewbacca, posted a photo with his THE LORD OF THE RINGS heroes Sean Astin (5' 7"), Elijah Wood (5' 6") and Billy Boyd (5' 6").

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY---George Lucas originally wanted to introduce the young Hal Solo in REVENGE OF THE SITH. Solo was a ten year-old orphan being raised by Chewbacca, and "Solo would have actually made a key contribution to the plot, seeing that he was to discover a droid transmitting signals from Utapau, pointing the Jedi in the direction of General Grievous." Official concept art showed Solo with messy hair and tattered clothes, and he would have had one line of dialogue. Lucas decided to drop the young Solo from the movie.

CLUE---co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick talked about their reboot of the 1985 comedy movie based on the board game. Wernick said, “Don’t be surprised if CLUE is R-rated… Potentially."
Reese added, “It will have elements of [the original movie], but it’s important that we don’t try and just rehash it. We want to build on it. We want to take some of what makes it fun and funny, but then we want to do our own thing. It’s about finding that balance. Hopefully we don’t upset the CLUE-hounds because there are a lot of them, apparently. We didn’t realize this until we signed up.”
Ryan Reynolds will star in the reboot movie. The original movie starred Christopher Lloyd, Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Michael McKean, Madeline Kahn, Martin Mull and Lesley Ann Warren.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3---Halle Berry and Anjelica Huston signed to co-star in the sequel. Sources said Berry will not play a villain, but no other details were released. Huston will play The Director.

GODZILLA---Toho Company head Keiji Ota announced Toho will not release a sequel to GODZILLA SHIN, but instead will develop a kaiju-shared universe for Toho monsters, “After 2021, we’re thinking of a potential strategy that [releases] Godzilla movies uninterrupted at a rate of every 2 years, although there is a preference for a yearly pace as well. The future of the series and its forwarding developments are very conscious of the method of “shared universe”. Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, etc. could all share a single world view much like a Marvel movie where Iron Man and the Hulk can crossover with each other.”

ABOMINABLE---Chloe Bennet (MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.) will provide the voice for Yi in this Dreamworks Animation movie about a group of friends who journey from Shanghai to the Himalayas in order to reunite a young Yeti with its family.

CATCH-22---Giancarlo Giannini will play Marcello, a Rome brothel owner, in the Hulu/ George Clooney miniseries based on the World War II novel.

DARK UNIVERSE---rumors began that Universal Pictures is still developing its Dark Universe monster universe after artist Robert Vargas said he talked with Universal about doing some "monster things".

SIGMUND FREUD---Amazon miniseries underway about Sigmund Freud with Todd Haynes as the director.

THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL---Amazon renewed the series for Season 3.

FALLING WATER---USA Network cancelled the series.

MISS FISHER AND THE CRYPT OF FEARS---Essie Davis returns for the movie based on the Australian murder series which is based on the novels.

Such a pointless stupid endeavor. They're not going to top or even get on the same level as this classic comedy, let alone have even one actor who approaches Tim Curry and what he brought to the role. And needless to say in today's scoring climate, I can't imagine something remotely on the same level of John Morris' score.
