STAR WARS---The Ankler newsletter said Kathleen Kennedy might leave her position as head of Lucasfilm as a result of fan disappointment with SOLO and THE LAST JEDI, "While Kathleen Kennedy worked wonders relaunching this property from the abyss of the Lucas prequel trilogy and turning it into a bigger than ever all-devouring cultural force, there has to be more than some thought that it’s time for new blood at the helm. The talk out there is of a September changing of the guards. We’ll see."
ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD---new cast additions were announced for the Quentin Tarantino movie based on the Charles Manson Cult murders. Damien Lewis will play Steve McQueen, Dakota Fanning will play Cult member Squeaky Fromme, Emile Hirsch will play victim Jay Sebring and Luke Perry will play Scotty Lancer.
TOP GUN 2---an inside source said Val Kilmer is returning as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky for the sequel and was seen in the San Diego hotel used by the production.
THE HOLLYWOOD MADAM---Heidi Fleiss, "The Hollywood Madam", on the 25th anniversary of her arrest, commented on Charlie Sheen, "The only reason his name came out is that when I was arrested, I had travelers' checks in my purse with his name on them. On the stand he said a much lower amount than he actually spent with me. He probably spent closer to $300,000 or $400,000 on girls. He said something like $60,000."
Fleiss said about her ex-boyfriend Tom Sizemore, who was removed from a movie set after molesting a child actress, "He liked horse porn, though. He did like horse porn. This one woman that would have sex with a horse on the internet, he told me that’s his favorite actress. "Better than Meryl Streep."'
Fleiss currently runs a bird sanctuary in the Nevada desert.
AMERICAN RADICAL---Rami Malek stars in this movie based on the book AMERICAN RADICAL: INSIDE THE WORLD OF AN UNDERCOVER MUSLIM FBI AGENT.
TAB & TONY---JJ Abrams and Zachary Quinto are developing a movie about the secret love affair between Tab Hunter and Tony Perkins.
TRIVIA---the cameos in Joe Dante's GREMLINS include the movie's producer, Steven Spielberg, the movie's composer, Jerry Goldsmith, and George Pal's time machine from THE TIME MACHINE.
Another cameo was Robby the Robot from FORBIDDEN PLANET.
Warner Bros./Looney Tunes animator Chuck Jones also had a cameo in the 1984 movie.
